Join the Living Earth Collaborative and WashU’s Office of Sustainability for an afternoon with renowned ecologist and bestselling author Doug Tallamy, co-founder of the Homegrown National Park movement.

Dr. Tallamy’s groundbreaking work has inspired people across the country to reimagine backyards, campuses, and community spaces as vital habitats for biodiversity. In his recent book, Nature’s Best Hope: How You Can Save the World in Your Own Yard, he makes the compelling case that ordinary people can play an extraordinary role in reversing the decline of biodiversity.

Dr. Tallamy will help us envision what a Homegrown National Park at WashU could look like. The Office of Sustainability will introduce attendees to the remarkable diversity of trees and landscapes that have earned WashU recognition as a Level 3 Arboretum.

Come be inspired to see the landscapes around you—at home and on campus—in a whole new way.
