Geoffrey Vincent

Assistant Dean, College of Arts & Sciences

Dr. Geoffrey Vincent is an Assistant Dean of Advising in the PreHealth program.  Born in Kansas City Missouri, Geoffrey attended the University of Kansas earning a BS in Biology.  From there, he attended the University of Central Missouri to study ticks and tick-borne pathogens while earning a MS in Biology.  Geoffrey then pursued in PhD. in Biology researching the ecology and epidemiology of West Nile virus at South Dakota State University.  Before coming to Washington University, Geoffrey was a professor of Biology at Northland College in Ashland Wisconsin where he taught courses including Human Anatomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Parasitology. His research continued looking at the dynamic relationships between ticks, the pathogens they carry, and their impact on humans, pets, livestock, and wildlife.  As a PreHealth advisor and biology program coordinator, Dr. Vincent guided students through coursework, internships, and research opportunities to prepare for admissions into graduate programs.
