Maria Canon is a senior lecturer in economics at Washington University and the Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program in the Economics Department. Her research interests include labor economics and the economics of education. Her courses include Labor Economics, Econometrics, and Honor Thesis research seminars.

Maria Canon joined the Economics Department at Washington University in 2015. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester, and a BA in Economics from Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. Before joining WashU she served as a research economist at the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank from 2010-2015
