Michelle Ling
Michelle Ling is the Project Coordinator for the Living Earth Collaborative. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Humanities & Multimedia from Duke University, centering her studies around the historical, social, and ethical dimensions of environmental change. She focused her honors thesis on the cultural-environmental tensions surrounding a controversial telescope construction in Hawai’i, using history, theory, and critical media studies to examine the development and manifestations of different human-nature relationships. Michelle previously worked in Duke’s Office of Climate & Sustainability for three years, coordinating a range of events from free campus thrift stores to regional higher education sustainability conferences. Originally from New Jersey and new to St. Louis, she is excited to get to know the city and the people here. In her free time, Michelle enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, making art, and curating playlists.
