National Council

Arts & Sciences National Council

A group of committed alumni and friends of the school meet twice each year to provide counsel to the Dean.

The Arts & Sciences National Council is an advisory committee to the Dean of Arts & Sciences. Composed of alumni, parents, and friends of Arts & Sciences, the National Council meets twice each year to provide counsel to the Dean. The mission of the Arts & Sciences National Council is to engage in an ongoing review of the programs of Arts & Sciences, advise and assist the Dean and core administrators on major initiatives as well as exchange information and share expertise with fellow council members and the Washington University community.

The Arts & Sciences National Council is one of 11 councils serving various entities of the university. Other councils serve the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts, the Olin Business School, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the School of Medicine, the George Warren Brown School of Social Work, the School of Law, the University Libraries, the Institute for Public Health, the Undergraduate Experience and the International Advisory Council for Asia.
