Elena Dalla Torre has teaching and research expertise in Italian and French Studies and has published several articles on 1970s radical feminism on the works of Italian gay theorist Mario Mieli.

She teaches all levels of Italian language, and special topic classes on Immigration, Citizenship, and Black Italy and Sex in Italian Culture and Media. She has been interested and active in pedagogical innovation with genAI.  Before joining RLL in 2018, she was previously a faculty at Saint Louis University where she taught classes in Italian, French and Women and Gender Studies.  

A native of Piemonte, Italy, Elena Dalla Torre is fluent in French and Spanish, and she is passionate about Spanish-speaking cultures.
