Sara Ryu
Sara Ryu serves as advisor to the Vice Dean of Undergraduate Affairs and works closely with administrators, faculty, and staff to advance the educational mission of Arts & Sciences. Sara provides project leadership and management for strategic planning activities, program development, and other academic affairs and special projects. She also oversees a team dedicated to academic initiatives in the College of Arts & Sciences, including First-Year and Ampersand Programs, Literacies for Life and Career, the Office of Undergraduate Research, Pre-College Programs, and Summer Session and Programmatic Initiatives.
Sara received a BA in the history of art at the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in the history of art at Yale University. Prior to joining WashU, she has held a position at the Saint Louis Art Museum and a National Endowment for the Humanities Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Getty Research Institute. Growing up in California, Sara developed a love for the outdoors and for learning about the diverse interests of the people around her.
