As Program Manager of the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR), Angela helps undergraduates across all disciplines identify, access, and advance their goals through faculty-mentored research opportunities. In collaboration with the Assistant Director and Faculty Director of the OUR, she manages a suite of financial awards for undergraduate researchers, facilitates undergraduate research presentations at biannual OUR symposia, advises students on how to get started with or leverage current research experiences, and coordinates with partner programs and departments to build new programming for our WashU community of undergraduate researchers and their faculty mentors.
A social and cognitive scientist by training, Angela earned a bachelor's degree in linguistics from New York University, with minors in anthropology and Middle Eastern studies, and a master's degree and doctorate in linguistics from Northwestern University, with a specialization in cognitive science. Angela joined WashU in 2016 as a Project Manager and Research Scientist with the Center for Integrative Research on Cognition, Learning, and Education (CIRCLE), where she translated her lab-based research skills into applied, classroom-based research. In 2022, Angela joined the OUR within the College Office.
