Patricia Maurer
Patricia Maurer serves as the Assistant Director of Curricular Innovation. In this role, she plays a pivotal role in the implementation of the Literacies for Life and Career initiative and works closely with the Director of Curricular Innovation, Dr. Michelle DeLair.
Additionally, she serves as an academic advisor in the College of Arts & Sciences, fostering a sense of belonging for all students and helping them make the most of their liberal arts & sciences education.
As a literary scholar, Patricia holds a BA from the University of Stuttgart, an MA from the University of Missouri, and a PhD from WashU. Her dissertation explored contemporary representations of a 19th-century female serial killer in popular media, examining themes of gender, power, and cultural reinterpretations within the true crime genre.
Outside of work, Patricia enjoys spending time with her cats, watching true crime series, and engaging in various sports.
