Mellon Mays Information Session
For over 25 years, the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) at Washington University has trained young scholars from underrepresented identities to pursue critical scholarship with the goal of obtaining PhDs and joining the professoriate. MMUF encourages students to explore scholarly interests, form a community with other fellows, and provides unique opportunities beyond time spent as a fellow. Washington University joins 46 other colleges and universities as well as the 39 member institutions of the United Negro College Fund in this effort. The program is open to students majoring in a wide-range of fields, who show a demonstrated commitment to increasing cross-racial and ethnic understanding, and who are American citizens or permanent residents.
