British A-Level Policy

  1. A maximum of 15 units of pre-matriculation credit may be counted toward any undergraduate degree. These units will count toward graduation but will not meet general education requirements.

  2. O-Level exams are not eligible for credit.

  3. If a student takes a course in residence which they have already received A-Level credit for the A-Level credit will be removed automatically.

If you need to have your A-Level test scores sent to WashU, please contact the institution where you took your A-Level tests and ask them to send an official electronic transcript of your A-Level test scores to Washington University to Sarah Longo via email (sarahlongo@wustl.edu). Please verify that the institution where you took your A-Level tests has your correct/legal full name and date of birth so we can correctly match your A-Level test scores to your WashU student record. It may take several days for WashU to receive your A-Level test scores, and several days for your A-Level test scores to be uploaded to your WashU student record. If you do not see your A-Level scores listed on your WashU student record after 30 days from the date of your request to the institution where you took your A-Level tests, please contact Sarah Longo via email (sarahlongo@wustl.edu).
