Student Zach Cohn, holding a coffee cup, smiles for a photo on a campus walkway.

I'm fascinated by the intersection of technology and the arts. Studying within Arts & Sciences has given me the opportunity to explore that intersection while simultaneously exploring my other interests and discovering new ones. One of my favorite classes wasn't even directly related to my major/minor; in the fall of last year, I took The Roots of Ferguson: Understanding Racial Inequality in the Contemporary U.S taught by Professor Rosenfeld. That class complicated my understanding of race's role in systemic issues nationwide and in the context of Saint Louis. The diversity of majors and years among my classmates brought invaluable perspectives to our conversations. I'm grateful that Arts & Sciences values this kind of broad, interdisciplinary learning.
