Jacob is a postdoctoral researcher focusing on PT-Symmetry and Open Quantum Systems.

He received undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Physics from Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2015. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Chemistry from IUPUI in 2018 and a PhD in 2022. He was a member of Carmel's F.I.R.S.T. Robotics League team and was heavily involved in Scouting.

He began college intent on studying Particle Physics but came to focus on PT-Symmetry and later Dissipative Quantum Systems under Yogesh Joglekar at IUPUI, and has assisted with SEED & STEM Program to working with high school students interested in pursuing physics since 2019. He now works with the Kater Murch Lab.
