Sarah Baitzel, an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology, received a $5,000 award from the Curtiss T. & Mary G. Brennan Foundation for a research project entitled "Multiethnic Interactions and the Expansion of Early Andean States: A View from the Sama Valley," in southern Peru.
John E. McCarthy, the Spencer T. Olin Professor in Arts & Sciences and chair of the Department of Mathematics, was a co-recipient of the 2016 G. de B. Robinson Award from the Canadian Mathematical Society.
